Addiction has long tentacles affecting families and generations in different ways. The children, the siblings, the parents and often divides families members.
I ran the family program for ten years at St John of God , Richmond.
I worked with Prof John Saunders who is the consultant to the WHO on addiction.
Often families talk to me about the anxiety, frustration and desperation that they experience when dealing with the addiction, struggling to establish some control.
Rescuing the addict, and the family. We can look at different ways of dealing with these issues.
